Whip-S contains Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl as active ingredient which is a selective herbicide having action against Echinochloa sp. and other grassy weeds in soybean, rice, cotton, black gram and onion. It is a post-emergent herbicide having action on broad spectrum of grasses.
MODE OF ACTION of Whip-S
The active ingredient of Whip-S, Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl is quickly taken up by the leaves and stems of the grassy weeds.
Biochemically, Whip-S predominantly inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids in the meristem tissues of the grassy weeds.

PRODUCT FEATURES of Whip-S
- Flexible application window and low dosages: Whip-S is very flexible as far as time of application is concerned. It gives a high level of control against most annual grassy weeds from the two-leaf to mid-tillering stage at low dosages.
- Remarkably versatile: Whip-S is a versatile herbicide and can be used in all important broad–leaved crops.
- Broad-spectrum: Whip-S has a wide spectrum of activity and controls most of the important grassy weeds.
- Weed control independent of soil type: Whip-S is taken up via the green plant tissues of the weed and not via the roots. It thus works independently of soil type.
- Safe to succeeding crops: Since Whip-S is rapidly broken down in the soil there is no possibility of damage to either mono or dicotyledonous crops grown in the following season.
