Precautions

Mode of Action
- Ethion- Non-systemic with a predominate contact action. Ethion is an Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, which is responsible for inhibition of enzyme Acetylcholinesterase resulting into blockage in the transmission of nerve impulses in insects.
- Cypermethrin- Sodium channel modulator. Keep sodium channels open thereby causing hyperexcitation and in some cases nerve block.
Antidote
Wash skin with 5% sodium bicarbonate solution. Wash the eyes with 3% sodium bicarbonate and then administer 1 to 2 drops of 1% homatropine solution. Immediately inject 2mg atropine sulphate i.v. repeat if necessary at 15 min. interval until pulse is accelerated, mouth and skin becomes dry and pupil dilate.
