Biphen, Bitertanol 25% WP is a Fungicide, is used to control scab of apple, tikka and rust of groundnut, blister blight of tea and karnal bunt of wheat.

Direction of Use
Broad spectrum fungicide to be used at just before incidence. Higher dosage may be required after the incidence of the disease is noticed. Do not use for seed treatment.
Time of Application
Tea: Minimum interval to be observed between last application and harvest is 15 days.
Precaution
Do not smoke, eat or drink while spraying. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and mucous membrane. After spraying operations, wash with plenty of soap and water.
Symptoms Of Poisoning
Nausea, excitation and drowsiness. Weakness, fatigue, excessive lachrimation.
First Aid
1.Remove patient from further exposure. 2.if swallowed induce vomitting by giving the victim a tablespoon of salt in a glass of warm water. Repeat treatment until vomit fluid is clear. 3.If inhaled get the victim into fresh air immediately 4. If breathing has stopped, apply artifical respiration 5. If the chemical has gotten into victim’s eyes, flush the eyes with plenty of water for atleast five minutes. 6. Call the doctor immediately and hand over the original containers and leaflet if poisoning has been caused by this pesticide.

Antidote
No specific antidote is known. Gastric lavage with 5% sodium bicarbonate and treat the patient symptomatically.
