Cabbage is the most popular winter vegetables grown in India. The major cabbage producing states are Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar, Assam, West Bengal, Maharashtra & Karnataka. Among these states West Bengal contributes most of cabbage production with an average productivity of 27.8 mt/ha.
